Minimum qualifications for IT jobs should be graduate/Diploma in IT/Computer Science with minimum 60 % academic score . You should have all the required skills.

Govt sector provides you good pay scale, timely payment, flexible working hours, many health benefits but there are very few IT jobs vacancy in govt sector. So IT jobs in government sector is not so good idea for your career growth. Where as , PSUs like ISRO,DRDO,BEL, ECIL has more vacancies for it professionals as compared to govt sector . Either they hire through GATE exams ,IES exams or conduct their individual exam for hiring.
But due to digitization , In IT service sector there are many career opportunities and large no of vacancies. IT companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS is hiring huge numbers of freshers and experienced for various roles. So if you want a great start for your career as IT professional you should go for IT service sectors first.
